Classique 5347 Grande Complication Double Tourbillon TournantThe Classique collection by Breguet treats itself to a double rotating tourbillon driven by a mechanical hand-wound movement. Designed to ensure extreme precision, this device is protected by no less than three patents. The independent tourbillons are coupled by means of a differential gearing and fixed to a rotating central mainplate, which performs a complete revolution in 12 hours. The differential transmits the average rate of the two tourbillons to the central turning plate and to the time display. The rate of the watch is thus the average rate of the two tourbillons, meaning twice as precise as a normal movement. Flaws in the iscochronism of the oscillators in the vertical positions are thus cancelled out. The hour is displayed via the bridge joining the two tourbillons, while the minutes are indicated by a classic central hand. The engine-turned motif on the dial gives an additional decorative touch to this timepiece.
